Very neutral on this product but not really a must
I tend to agree with the person who placed the review mentioning the potential bacterial infection side of this product. It's a fair product and something you could become accustomed too, but you know, babies don't really know the difference and for me if my daughter managed with regular wipes as a preemie during winter, this thing is not a must. Think about your lifestyle and whether you want to have to maybe cart a wipe warmer wherever you go, it's just not practical and you would probably need at least two of them. It's like having a baby get used to a warmed bottle, from the age of 4 months I had my daughter get used to room temperature bottles so that it was never a problem no matter where we were or what we were doing, unlike my sister whose son at the age of nearly 2 wouldn't touch a bottle unless it was warmed up. Small things to make life easier, long term I don't think this is one of them.
WASTE OF MONEY
Being a new mom I wanted to be prepared and bought just about every item available, out of everything I purchased this turned out to be the biggest waste of money. First you need to have an outlet nearby your changing table to keep it plugged in, second you have to be careful where you place it because of wetness. It now sits in the box in the closet. WASTE OF MONEY!!
Good enough; not perfect
I waited until wintertime before I finally broke down and bought a wipes warmer. This product does warm the wipes nicely (without getting too hot), and I use Pampers pop-up wipes anyway, so I've never had a problem with getting wipes out. When you open the lid fully, for any reason, the condensation that builds up will likely spill a little bit of water, so I wouldn't put the warmer directly on any wood surface. ^M
