Attractive, but not useful

This mobile looks great, and if you are looking to create that "catalog picture perfect" nursery, then this is attractive to the adult eye and would be necessary to make a John Lennon Musical Parade themed room complete. But from a baby's point of view, it doesn't quite do the trick. It is too heavy to move with the eddies of air flow in the room. It will only move when wound up. So, it does not interest my baby except when I have just been in the room to wind it for her. When playing, the music is lovely but is played too loudly. As such, it does not sooth my baby, but instead gets her excited. And really, why is she in the crib but to be soothed to sleep?

The hanging toys are cute. They look like they'd be great to play with. But, of course, that's not what a mobile is for. If you want something that will sooth your child or entertain her so that she lies quietly in her crib, get a light weight mobile that will move with the air flow. Then turn on the fan or heater and play a CD with the volume down low. Voilá, sleeping baby.

Terrible Don't Bother..

Received this mobile as a gift. In fact a more expensive remote mobile was exchanged in order to get the one that "matched" babys room. It takes forever to wind and only plays for approx. 2min. Baby was uninterested in animals on mobile until 5 months at which time I was winding it up and the hook broke off! This mobile is flimsy trash.

Cute, but useless

This mobile matched my son's nursery and looked adorable...but he could care less about it. The pastel characters don't attract his attention and the music lasts a miniscule amount of time (I think it takes longer to wind it than it does to play it). Also, it doesn't really sound like "Imagine." I had read the negative reviews, but my desire to coordinate won out over my better logic...don't let that happen to you!
