I have several receiving blankets which were given to me at my baby shower and my baby is now 4 months old and I use all my different blankets for different things (swaddling, cover up, shield from the sun over the car seat, etc) But these John Lennon blankets are ALWAYS used for "cuddling up time" to wrap around her when she sleeps, to quickly warm her up from a bath, etc. After several washings, they are still extra soft with no pilling, and at 30 x 40 inches they are definitely the perfect size (seems like most are 30 x 30, harder to get a good swaddle) You will NOT be disappointed...money well spent!
